Riley County Police recorded 18 incidents over the weekend, including a stolen vehicle, multiple larceny cases, and an unattended death, according to activity logs.

Among the incidents, officers responded to two non-injury crashes Saturday afternoon, a larceny report at Popeyes on Bluemont Avenue, and a stolen vehicle report at 1121 Claflin Road. Police also reported a drug case near Anderson Avenue and North 52nd Street in Riley and a violation of a court order Saturday morning.

Four arrests were made during the reporting period. A sixteen-year-old from Junction City was arrested early Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence after a stop near Juniper Drive and Stagg Hill Road. Later that evening, Kansas State University police arrested 21-year-old Jaxton Kale Henning of Wichita for DUI on College Avenue.

Other arrests included 60-year-old Erick Lamont Smith of Ogden, jailed on a warrant for failure to appear, and 23-year-old Cody Garrison Whitmore of Manhattan, also arrested for failure to appear.

In addition, officers were called to an unattended death reported just after midnight Sunday in the 100 block of North 15th Street.

Anyone with information about a crime can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
