    Area golf roundup | Wamego girls cruise to regional title

    Area girls’ golf teams enjoyed a strong showing across regional tournaments this week, highlighted by Wamego capturing team championships and several others advancing individuals to next week’s state meets.

    The Red Raiders left little doubt at the Class 4A regional hosted by Shawnee Country Club, firing a 326 to cruise to the team title by 40 strokes over second-place and regional host Hayden.
