For the second game in a row, there was no lack of offense for the Kansas State as the Wildcats beat Newman 112-90 Friday evening in an exhibition.

The exhibition is the second of the preseason as K-State fell 100-91 at Missouri on Oct. 26.

The Jets gave K-State just about everything they could handle, hitting 18 3-pointers on the night and never fully fading away down the stretch as the Wildcats led by as little as 13 with just over six minutes to play in the game.

Newman led by eight midway through the first half before a 21-6 run gave the Wildcats control. The Jets didn’t let up, though, ending the first period on a 6-2 run to cut K-State’s lead to nine, 59-50, heading into halftime.
