EMPORIA — The objective for Manhattan High football on Friday night was simple: overcome a growing list of injuries and bounce back from last week’s rivalry loss. The Indians did just that, rolling to a 41-6 victory over Emporia at Welch Stadium.

Despite being down eight starters, including Kansas commit JJ Dunnigan, fellow wideout Ja’Marcus Vornes, and running back Kha’Mario Davis, Manhattan piled up six rushing touchdowns after managing just two combined offensive scores in its previous two games.

Junior Max Evans-Pryor powered the short-handed group both ways with 110 yards and two touchdowns on just six carries, while racking up multiple sacks.
