Senior Shaylee Myers’ record-breaking 34 kills highlighted Kansas State volleyball’s five-set victory (25-21, 25-23, 22-25, 25-27, 20-18) over West Virginia, as the Wildcats rallied to secure their first Big 12 win of the season Wednesday night at WVU Coliseum.
A native of Lincoln, Nebraska, Myers became the first player in the rally-scoring era to reach 34 kills in a single match and only the fourth in program history to achieve the milestone, joining K-State greats Dawn Cady, Kathy Saxton, and Liz Wegner-Busch.
