    Shane Amaro, 41, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 1000 block of Limey Place in Manhattan, at approximately 3:11 p.m. on Oct. 26, 2025 on a Geary County District Court warrant. Amaro was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

    Officers filed a report of theft in the 800 block of Houston at approximately 8:23 a.m. on Oct. 26. A 51-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man were listed as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect stole two Specialized brand bicycles. The estimated total loss associated with this case is $1,400. Anyone with information, contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report of aggravated battery and aggravated robbery at approximately 9:40 p.m. on Oct. 25 in the 700 block of Kearney. A 28-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported a 33-year-old man and a 31-year-old man battered him and stole a handgun. Anyone with information, contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report of fraud at approximately 3:11 p.m. on Oct. 24 in the 1000 block of Westloop Place. An 87-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported unknown individuals falsely identified themselves as federal agents and threatened to close his bank accounts if he didn’t pay them. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $1,250.
