Shane Amaro, 41, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 1000 block of Limey Place in Manhattan, at approximately 3:11 p.m. on Oct. 26, 2025 on a Geary County District Court warrant. Amaro was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
Officers filed a report of theft in the 800 block of Houston at approximately 8:23 a.m. on Oct. 26. A 51-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man were listed as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect stole two Specialized brand bicycles. An 87-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported unknown individuals falsely identified themselves as federal agents and threatened to close his bank accounts if he didn’t pay them. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $1,250.
