    Suspect sought after $1,400 bike thefts

    Two people reported the theft of bicycles early Sunday morning in Manhattan, prompting an investigation by the Riley County Police Department.

    Officers filed a report of theft at approximately 8:23 a.m. on Oct. 26 in the 800 block of Houston Street. A 51-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man were listed as the victims after reporting that an unknown suspect stole two Specialized brand bicycles.

    The estimated total loss associated with the case is $1,400. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Riley County Police Department or Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Anonymous tips may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
