A 22-year-old woman who took the stand in Riley County District Court Wednesday said she couldn’t believe a man she’d known since middle school had sexually assaulted her and her friend.
Gavin Haberman, 21, of Manhattan is charged with the rape and aggravated sexual battery of two women who were guests at his home in September 2024. The trial began Monday with jury selection.
The Mercury does not name victims of sexual crimes.
