    RCPD arrests pair on narcotics and paraphernalia charges

    Two Manhattan residents were arrested Thursday morning on multiple drug-related charges following an investigation in the 500 block of Osage Street.

    According to the Riley County Police Department, officers filed reports at approximately 9:24 a.m. on Nov. 6 for possession of opium, narcotics or certain stimulants; use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana; and possession of a controlled substance.

    Jeramia Dorsey, 45, was arrested at the time of the report and faces two counts of possession of opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, along with the additional drug-related charges. Donnie Downs, 39, was arrested shortly afterward at approximately 10:36 a.m. in the same location and faces the same charges, including one count of possession of opium, narcotic or certain stimulant.

    Both men were issued a total bond of $5,000 and remain confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
