    Officers responded to a report of an injury accident at approximately 6:46 p.m. on Nov. 18, 2025 near Hayes Drive and McCall Road. Upon arrival, officers found a 2014 Ford Focus driven by Randy Welter, 71, of Manhattan, had failed to yield on a lefthand turn, causing a 2015 Chrysler 200 driven by Callen Barta, 19, of Manhattan, to crash into it. Barta then ran into another vehicle while trying to stop, a 2016 Toyota Corolla driven by Jackson West, 18, of Manhattan. Welter and his passenger, Teresa Frazier, 65, of Manhattan, were transported to Via Christi for treatment. Welter was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way.

    Officers filed a report of criminal use of financial card, theft of property or services and computer unlawful acts at approximately 2:12 p.m. on July 27, 2025 in the 200 block of S. Seth Child Road. David DeJesus Roman, 28, of Ogden, was arrested at approximately 8:26 a.m. on Nov. 18 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on seven counts of computer unlawful acts, six counts of criminal use of a financial card and one count of theft of property of services. DeJesus Roman was issued a total bond of $28,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
