A Manhattan man was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon on charges stemming from a report filed earlier this year.

Riley County Police say officers originally filed a report on May 15 around 12:07 p.m. in the 2000 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard for possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, as well as use of a communication facility in the commission of a felony drug violation.

On Nov. 26, police arrested 35-year-old Joshua Padilla at about 12:25 p.m. on both charges.

Padilla was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
