Officers responded to a report of an injury accident at approximately 11:28 a.m. on Dec. 8, 2025 at the intersection of 11th Street and Bertrand Street. Upon arrival, officers found a 1999 Ford F-350 driven by Russell Thompson, 65, had struck a 2003 Chevrolet truck driven by James Posch, 64, in the intersection, which was then pushed into a 2013 Toyota RAV4, driven by Korie Kirkwood, 20. Posch was transported to Via Christi for his injuries and issued a citation for failing to stop at a stop sign.
