Attorneys for the defense and state gave conflicting accounts of evidence Tuesday morning in Riley County District Court during opening statements of the jury trial of a St. George man accused of sex crimes and kidnapping.
Ricky Dunklin, 30, is charged with rape, aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated domestic battery. He pleaded not guilty to all four counts at his July arraignment. All charges involve the same victim, a woman Dunklin knows who is now 29 years old.
The Mercury does not identify victims of sexual crimes.
