As Chris Klieman steps away after seven seasons at Kansas State and sources tell The Mercury that Collin Klein prepares to take over the program, the man who built the foundation for both coaches offered his perspective Wednesday.
Bill Snyder, the Hall of Fame architect of K-State football and the coach whose legacy Klieman inherited in 2019, said he believes Klieman honored that standard while carrying the Wildcats into a new era.
“Not an easy position and a difficult job, and I thought he did it quite well,” Snyder said. “He’s made the Kansas Staters proud of him and proud of the job that he and his staff did — and his players, of course.”
