Kansas State men’s basketball turned a tale of two halves into a needed road win Saturday, surviving a Creighton rally to escape Omaha with an 83–76 victory.
The Wildcats (7–4) looked every bit like their early-season self in the first half, but the second half tested whether K-State had learned how to win away from home.
“In the second half, Creighton did a great job and really got after us,” head coach Jerome Tang said. “We didn’t play as well as we did in the first half — that’s why you play two halves.”
Behind a steady closing stretch from David Castillo, K-State held off a furious Creighton comeback to secure its first true road win of the season.
