    Deputies recover stolen Toyota, charge 19-year-old with theft

    The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office has recovered a stolen vehicle and made an arrest following a two-day investigation.

    Deputies located a Toyota Avalon around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon near in Abilene. The car had been reported stolen out of Nebraska, but officials say it was unoccupied when they found it. The vehicle was processed for evidence and towed for safekeeping until it can be returned to its owner.

    Investigators developed a suspect the next day, leading to the arrest of 19-year-old Christopher Bryant of Abilene on a charge of vehicle theft.
