Manhattan city commissioners on Tuesday unanimously approved a $266,021 increase to the construction contract for the Anderson Avenue Water, Street and Stormwater Improvements Project.

Mayor Susan Adamchak and commissioner Andrew Von Lintel were not present.

The change order funds additional storm sewer work by Bayer Construction Company, including correcting an undersized pipe segment ($11,570) and rehabilitating curb inlets ($254,451). All additional work will be completed at original bid prices to take advantage of the current street closure and avoid future traffic and neighborhood disruptions.
