    Manhattan man arrested on drug possession and interference charges

    A Manhattan man was arrested Tuesday afternoon following a police investigation in the central part of the city.

    Riley County Police say officers filed the report around 2:57 p.m. Jan. 27 in the 1600 block of Yuma Street. The case involved allegations of use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, and interference with a law enforcement officer.

    Officers arrested Damian Jones, 52, of Manhattan, at approximately 3:43 p.m. on all listed charges.

    Jones was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
