    RCPD investigating trailer theft from church parking lot

    The Riley County Police Department is investigating a reported theft involving a trailer taken from a Manhattan church property.

    Officers filed the report around 4:05 p.m. Jan. 27, 2026, in the 1500 block of Browning Place. University Christian Church was listed as the victim after police say an unknown individual stole a white 2010 enclosed Doolittle single-axle trailer from the parking lot. The estimated loss associated with the theft is $5,000.
