Officers filed a report for theft at approximately 4:05 p.m. on Jan. 27, 2026 in the 1500 block of Browning Place. University Christian Church was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown individual stole a white 2010 enclosed Doolittle single-axle trailer from its parking lot. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $5,000. Anyone with information, contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward up to $1,000.

Officers filed a report for use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into the body, possession of opiate/opium/narcotic or certain stimulant and interference with a law enforcement officer at approximately 2:57 p.m. on Jan. 27 in the 1600 block of Yuma. Damian Jones, 52, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 3:43 p.m. for use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into the body, possession of opiate/opium/narcotic or certain stimulant and interference with a law enforcement officer. Jones was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

Officers filed a report of theft at approximately 2:41 p.m. on Jan. 27 in the 1100 block of Kretschmer Drive. PTMW, Inc. was listed as the victim when it was reported a known suspect took equipment and did not return it. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $2,526.33.
