RCPD Report: 2/27/26

Officers filed a report of robbery at approximately 1:34 p.m. on Feb. 26, 2026 near Beck Street and Casement Road. A 28-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported a known 67-year-old male suspect stole his 2013 Dodge Ram truck at gunpoint. The truck was later recovered. Michael Ivy, 67, of Wamego, was arrested at 7:41 p.m. in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road for aggravated robbery. Ivy was issued a total bond of $125,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report. Two other arrests were made as a result of the initial report, including Otto Tisdale, 40, of St. George, who was arrested at 5:29 p.m. in the 300 block of Allen Road for violating the offender registration act, possession of opiate/opium/narcotic or certain stimulant, and for the use/possession of with intent to use drug paraphernalia in the human body. Tisdale was issued a total bond of $32,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report. Bailey Collier, 23, of Louisville (Kan.), was arrested at 1:46 p.m. in the 300 block of Allen Road for parole violation. Collier was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of criminal damage to property at approximately 11:35 a.m. on Feb. 26 in the 700 block of Griffith Drive. A 63-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported a known 46-year-old female suspect damaged the inside of an apartment. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $2,000. Virginia Beneux, 46, of Manhattan, was arrested at 2:14 p.m. in the 700 block of Griffith for criminal damage to property. Beneux was issued a total bond of $100,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
