    Officers filed a report of aggravated assault at approximately 8:56 p.m. on Feb. 7, 2026 near mile marker 187 of Fort Riley Blvd. A 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were listed as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect shot at their vehicle while driving on Fort Riley Blvd. Anyone with information, contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward up to $1,000.

    Charla Albright, 45, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 9:48 p.m. on Feb. 6 in the 1000 block of Limey Place on two Riley County District Court warrants for probation violations. This arrest stems from original charges that include possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance. Albright was issued a total bond of $26,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report of aggravated assault, aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer, criminal discharge of a firearm, interference with a law enforcement officer, possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a weapon by a felon at approximately 8:41 p.m. on Feb. 2 in the 3200 block of Kimball Avenue. Victims included a 33-year-old man, a 46-year-old woman, a 46-year-old man and a 37-year-old man. Tayvon Nash, 26, of St. George, was arrested at approximately 8:53 p.m. on two counts of aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer and one count each for aggravated assault, criminal discharge of a firearm, interference with a law enforcement officer, possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a weapon by a felon. Nash was issued a total bond of $40,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report of aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, domestic battery and criminal possession of a weapon at approximately 9:42 a.m. on Feb. 6 in Manhattan. A 52-year-old woman and a 31-year-old woman were listed as the victims. Joshua Downey, 29, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 9:57 p.m. for aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, domestic battery and criminal possession of a weapon. Downey was issued a total bond of $18,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report for violation of a court order at approximately 12:52 a.m. on Feb. 5 in the 13000 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. Chevin Scheib, 47, of Randolph, was arrested at approximately 9:45 a.m. on Feb. 6 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road for violating a court order. Scheib was issued a total bond of $6,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
