A shortage of bus drivers is the leading factor in the decision to change start times for schools in the Manhattan area, said USD 383 Superintendent Eric Reid.
The district has been struggling to keep consistent drivers — an issue Reid said has been persistent over his 11 years with the district.
“It’s always been something,” he said Friday morning on Within Reason with Mike Matson on News Radio KMAN. “How can we do more with bus drivers? How do we get more people in? How do we put the plea out to get people to drive?”
