So Long Saloon was closed briefly after a fire Wednesday in the shared kitchen area with Taco Lucha.
According to the Manhattan Fire Department, the fire was extinguished by restaurant staff. Fire Prevention staff followed up with the restaurant after becoming aware of the fire on social media Wednesday and Taco Lucha was cleared to reopen Thursday.
So Long Saloon was set to reopen Friday pending an inspection.
The restaurants’ fire suppression contractor responded, cleaning and recharging all fire suppression systems.
According to a report, employees removed and cleaned kitchen equipment at So Long Saloon. They also took down and will replace ceiling tiles.
