Manhattan High baseball secured its first home sweep of the season on Tuesday night, downing rival Junction City 16-1 and 7-4 in a doubleheader.
“Junction City is our rival. It was just nice not only to beat them, but it’s also nice to just play good baseball,” head coach Don Hess said. “Defensively, I can’t imagine us playing any better. Pitching-wise, it wasn’t our best outing, but they gave us a chance to win — we had a lot of guys do some good things.”
