Jaylen DeShawn Fures, 27, of District Heights (Md.), was arrested at approximately 12:30 a.m. on April 17, 2026 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. This arrest stems from original charges which include two counts of aggravated domestic battery and criminal damage to property. Fures was issued a total bond of $16,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Inayjha Nevaeh Lynae Ware, 22, of Wichita, was arrested at approximately 11:25 p.m. on April 16 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Manhattan Municipal court warrant for probation violation. This arrest stems from original charges of theft. Ware was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report of burglary on April 12, 14 and 16 in the 1200 block of Tabor Valley Road. A 67-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported unknown suspects broke into his home on three occasions and stole various items, including a safe and its contents. The total estimated loss is unknown at this time. Thomas William Wallace Mundy, 30, of Topeka, was arrested at approximately 3:29 p.m. on April 16 in the 1200 block of Tabor Valley Road for burglary; dwelling to steal firearm. Mundy was issued a total bond of $15,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report. McKinley Glen Hopkins, 34, of Topeka, was also arrested at approximately 3:29 p.m. on April 16 in the 1200 block of Tabor Valley Road for burglary; dwelling to steal firearm. Hopkins was issued a total bond of $15,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Shane Alan Amaro, 42, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 1:50 p.m. on April 16 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for two counts of theft of property/services. This arrest stems from a report originally filed in June 2025. Amaro was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
