Officers filed a report of criminal threat, interference with a law enforcement officer and criminal damage to property at approximately 6:51 p.m. on April 23, 2026 in the 2100 block of Casement Road. Julia Sue Booher, 24, of Manhattan, was arrested for criminal threat, interference with a law enforcement officer and criminal damage to property at approximately 8:03 p.m. Booher was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Officers responded to a report of an injury accident at approximately 5:22 p.m. on April 23 near Sloan Street and Griffith Drive. Upon arrival, officers found a 2004 Cadillac Deville driven by Robert Houston, 45, of Manhattan, had crashed into a 2022 Ford Escape driven by Michael Noda, 31, of Manhattan. Houston and a passenger were transported to Via Chrisi Hospital for minor injuries. Houston was issued a citation for failure to yield at a stop sign and no insurance.
