RCPD Report: 4/28/26

Officers filed a report criminal damage to property, domestic battery, criminal restraint and criminal trespass at approximately 12:20 a.m. on April 27, 2026 in Manhattan. A 21-year-old woman was listed as the victim and a known 22-year-old man was listed as the suspect. Joseph Vernon Ray Chames Jr, 22, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 6:08 p.m. in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road for criminal damage to property, domestic battery, criminal restraint and criminal trespass. Chames Jr. was issued a total bond of $8,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

Dylan Wayne McSherley, 31, of Colorado Springs, was arrested at approximately 3:57 p.m. on April 27 in the 10000 block of Falcon Road on a Geary County District Court warrant for five charges of failure to appear. McSherley was issued a total bond of $50,500 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

Shane Amaro, 42, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 2:55 p.m. on April 27 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Geary County District Court warrant for failure to appear. Amaro was issued a total bond of $15,000 and no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

Antoine Cornelius Jones, 41, of Junction City, was arrested at approximately 9:45 a.m. on April 27 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Road on four counts of violating a protection order. Jones has a total bond of $27,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Antwan Jamal Frost, 39, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 9:21 a.m. on April 27 in the 100 block of Courthouse Plaza on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This arrest stems from an original charge of domestic battery. Frost was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
