Officers conducted a traffic stop at approximately 12:30 p.m. on April 28, 2026 near Irene Circle and Davis Drive. This was part of an ongoing investigation into drug distribution in Riley County. A search warrant was then executed in the 800 block of Colorado Street. Officers filed a report for use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia in the human body, possession of opiate/opium/narcotic or certain stimulant, possession of marijuana, and distribution of opiate/opium/narcotic/certain stimulant; 3.5-100 grams. Brittanie Michele Vaughn, 31, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 7 p.m. for use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia in the human body and distribution of opiate/opium/narcotic/certain stimulant; 3.5-100 grams. Vaughn was issued a total bond of $41,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report. Jimmie Dale Dodson III, 25, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 7 p.m. for use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia in the human body and possession of opiate/opium/narcotic or certain stimulant. Dodson was issued a total bond of $4,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail. JC Hunt, 53, of Grandview Plaza, was arrested at approximately 1:01 p.m. for distribution of opiate/opium/narcotic/certain stimulant; 3.5-100 grams, possession of opiate/opium/narcotic or certain stimulant, and passion of marijuana. Hunt was issued a total bond of $30,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Nesa Marie Simms, 31, of Scott City, was arrested at approximately 11:19 a.m. on April 28 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Butler County District Court warrant for probation violation. Simms was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
