There are moments in life where you’re handed what appears to be an insurmountable task, a challenge to the indomitable human spirit.
On Friday — in Kansas State baseball’s series-opener versus rival Kansas — I removed my metaphorical sports reporter cap (I like to think of it as an old trilby with a press pass sticking out of the top) and donned an old K-State baseball cap that I very rarely get to wear anymore, and made my way to Tointon Family Stadium burdened with glorious purpose.
