Police arrested a 16-year-old boy Tuesday afternoon at Manhattan High School for charges including criminal damage to property and battery.
Noah Dean Weber of Manhattan was arrested at 1:26 p.m. for criminal damage to property valued less than $1,000, criminal threat causing terror or disruption, disorderly conduct and battery. Officials released Weber from custody without bond.
A case tied to Weber’s charges was filed April 2 with the Riley County District Court, and records from the case show the alleged offenses took place Nov. 13 and Dec. 17.
This is not Weber’s first arrest at the High School. He was arrested Nov. 13 for battery and disorderly conduct, Sept. 3, 2024 for aggravated battery with a weapon and Aug. 15, 2024 for two counts of aggravated battery using a pair of scissors against two staff members.
Weber’s Aug. 2024 case resulted in a sentence of community service, counseling, an order to take all prescribed medications and a written apology to the victims.
