Three arrested following Riley County drug distribution investigation

Three people were arrested Tuesday following a traffic stop and search warrant connected to an ongoing drug distribution investigation in Riley County, according to the Riley County Police Department.

Officers conducted a traffic stop at approximately 12:30 p.m. April 28th, 2026, near Irene Circle and Davis Drive. As part of the investigation, a search warrant was later executed in the 800 block of Colorado Street.

Officers filed reports for use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia in the human body, possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, possession of marijuana and distribution of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant in an amount between 3.5 and 100 grams.

JC Hunt, 53, of Grandview Plaza, was arrested at approximately 1:01 p.m. on charges of distribution of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant between 3.5 and 100 grams, possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant and possession of marijuana. Hunt was issued a total bond of $30,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail.

Brittanie Michele Vaughn, 31, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 7 p.m. on charges of use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia in the human body and distribution of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant between 3.5 and 100 grams. Vaughn was issued a total bond of $41,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail.

Jimmie Dale Dodson III, 25, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 7 p.m. on charges of use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia in the human body and possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant. Dodson was issued a total bond of $4,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
