The future of a secondary connection to Manhattan from Pottawatomie County will depend on the political will secured over the next few months.
Earlier this month, Benesch concluded a cost-benefit analysis that the Flint Hills Metropolitan Planning Organization told local leaders about earlier this year.
Flint Hills MPO Director Jared Tremblay told Riley County commissioners Thursday that they were the first group to receive the presentation. He was scheduled to speak Thursday afternoon at a joint meeting with Manhattan, Riley County and Pottawatomie County officials.
