Manhattan city commissioners on Tuesday will vote on scheduling a public hearing for June 16 to move forward with the K-State Foundation’s Edge District.
Commissioners during that hearing could establish a tax increment finance district near the northeast corner of College Avenue and Kimball Avenue, as well as establish a sales tax revenue district on the university’s campus and adjacent properties owned by the foundation.
Also on Tuesday’s agenda is amending the Manhattan Urban Area Comprehensive Plan and its Future Land Use Map to reflect the land use classifications identified as part of the East Manhattan Gateway Vision. The FLUM helps guide development and rezonings.
