Wabaunsee County sheriff Eric Kirsch and Riley County Police Department director Brian Peete exchanged blows through online statements Wednesday over Kirsch’s remarks at a Manhattan concert May 9.
Kirsch was invited to speak at “Stoney Wars III” and later posted the contents of his speech on Facebook.
The event was promoted as focusing on “an important cultural issue affecting personal freedom, small businesses and responsible adult choices in our community.”
