Rashard Emil Shelton, 26, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 12:10 a.m. on May 4, 2026 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This arrest stems from an original charge of domestic battery. Shelton was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Officers responded to a report of an injury accident at approximately 2:15 a.m. on May 3 near Tuttle Creek Blvd. and Blue River Hills Road. Upon arrival, officers found a 2017 Mazda 6 driven by Nevaeh Renee Buffington, 20, of Manhattan, had crashed into a guard rail. Buffington was transported to Via Christi for her injuries.
Officers responded to an injury accident at approximately 10:56 p.m. on May 2 at the intersection of N. Seth Child Road and Claflin Road. Upon arrival, officers found a 2020 Lexus driven by Dale Tindall, 86, crashed into a 2015 Dodge Dart driven by Alexis Raine Gromala, 20. Tindall was transported to Via Christi Hospital for his injuries.
