RCPD Report: 5/5/26

Officers filed a report for sexual exploitation of a child in Manhattan on May 5, 2026 at approximately 12:23 a.m.  An 11-year-old female was listed as the victim, and an unknown male was listed as the suspect.  Due to the nature of the crime reported, no additional information will be released.

Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near the intersection of Vattier St. and N. 4th St. on May 4 at approximately 7:52 p.m.  Upon arrival, officers found a 2011 Dodge driven by Jeremy Hicks, 21, of Manhattan had struck a 2018 Ford driven by Nonacik Reckert, 31, of Manhattan.   Reckert was transported to Via Christi for treatment.  Hicks was issued a citation for failure to yield at a yield sign.

Officers filed a report for assault and aggravated battery in the 900 block of Anneberg Dr. in Manhattan on May 4 at approximately 9:41 a.m.   A 24-year-old man and a 28-year-old man are both listed as victims and suspects.  The 24-year-old man alleges the 28-year-old man almost struck his vehicle with another vehicle.  The 28-year-old man alleges the 24-year-old man struck him with a vehicle.

Officers filed a report for battery of a law enforcement officer in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Rd. on May 4 at approximately 11:37 p.m.   A 24-year-old man is listed as a victim when it was reported a 47-year-old man battered him.  Matthew Muse, 47, of Manhattan was arrested for battery of a law enforcement officer and issued a total bond of $15,000.  Muse remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Tayvon Agnew Nash, 26, of Manhattan was arrested on May 4 at approximately 4:08 p.m. on his Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear.  This warrant stems from original charges of Violation of the Kansas Offender Registration Act.   Agnew Nash remains confined at the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
