RCPD Report: 5/8/26

Francis Jerimyh Jackson, 36, of Denver (Colo.), was arrested at approximately 11 p.m. on May 7, 2026 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. This arrest stems from an original charge of aggravated assault. Jackson was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Derek Edward Blea, 33, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 3:23 p.m. on May 7 in the 900 block of Colorado Street on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear and a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. This arrest stems from original charges that include three counts of violating the Kansas Offender Registration Act and driving while suspended/revoked. Officers also filed a report at approximately 3:12 p.m. for battery on a law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer and criminal damage to property. A 31-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported a 33-year-old suspect battered an officer during the course of an arrest. Blea was arrested for battery of a law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer and criminal damage to property. Blea was issued a total bond of $44,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers responded to an injury accident at approximately 3:16 p.m. on May 7 near the intersection of Westwood Road and Walnut Drive. Upon arrival, officers found that e-scooter was wrecked and the rider, Jeffery Tinnean, 61, of Manhattan, had fallen off, resulting in a head injury. Tinnean was transported to Via Christi Hospital for his injuries.
