Officers filed a report for domestic battery and driving under the influence at approximately 4:47 p.m. on June 1, 2026 in the 800 block of Walters Drive. A 43-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man were listed as both the victims and suspects. Jenny Belle Shanks, 43, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 5:21 p.m. for domestic battery. She was issued a total bond of $4,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail. Mitchell Autry Shanks, 41, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 5:21 p.m. for domestic battery and driving under the influence. He was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

Officers filed a report of aggravated assault and criminal damage to property at approximately 12:11 p.m. on June 1 in Ogden. A 60-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man were listed as victims. A known 39-year-old man was listed as the suspect.

Officers filed a report for attempted theft of property or services and criminal damage to property at approximately 8:33 a.m. on June 1 in the 400 block of Humboldt Street. Kwik Staff was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect broke a window of a 2015 Hyundai Elantra and damaged the steering column and ignition. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $1,500. Anyone with information, contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.
