Officers filed a report of aggravated assault at approximately 10:17 p.m. on June 7, 2026 in the 500 block of Rio Hondo Way. A 25-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were listed as victims when it was reported a 14-year-old male suspect brandished a handgun during an encounter in a parking lot.

Melissa Sue Carson, 39, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 4:22 p.m. on June 5 in the 1000 block of N. 3rd Street on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This arrest stems from original charges of criminal damage to property and criminal trespass. Carson was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Corey Mathew Kaszanics, 30, of Wamego, was arrested at approximately 1:55 p.m. on June 5 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation.
