Officers filed a report of aggravated assault at approximately 10:17 p.m. on June 7, 2026 in the 500 block of Rio Hondo Way. A 25-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were listed as victims when it was reported a 14-year-old male suspect brandished a handgun during an encounter in a parking lot.

Officers filed a report of aggravated assault, domestic battery, criminal threat and criminal damage to property at approximately 3:12 p.m. on June 7 in Manhattan. A 24-year-old man was listed as the victim. A known 22-year-old woman was listed as the suspect. Dijana Denise Allen, 22, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 3:46 p.m. for aggravated assault, domestic battery, criminal threat and criminal damage to property. Allen was issued a total bond of $10,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

Officers filed a report of motor vehicle theft at approximately 12:43 p.m. on June 7 in the 1100 block of Bluemont Avenue. A 23-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported his 2017 Hyundai Elantra was stolen by an unknown suspect. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $15,000. The vehicle was later recovered. Anyone with information, contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward up to $1,000.

Officers filed a report of motor vehicle theft at approximately 7:26 a.m. on June 7 in the 4400 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. A 37-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported her 2012 Toyota Camry was stolen from her driveway by an unknown suspect. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $4,500. The vehicle was later recovered. Anyone with information, contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward up to $1,000.

Officers filed a report of aggravated battery at approximately 3:02 a.m. on June 7 in the 1100 block of Bluemont Avenue. A 20-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect used a knife to cut the victim’s hand. Anyone with information, contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward up to $1,000.

Officers filed a report of aggravated domestic battery at approximately 8:24 p.m. on June 6 in Manhattan. A 34-year-old woman was listed as a victim when it was reported a known male suspect battered the victim in her car.

Eligus Ryan Ricketts, 41, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 4:33 p.m. on June 5 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for three counts of violating the offender registration act and one count of perjury. Ricketts was issued a total bond of $20,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

Melissa Sue Carson, 39, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 4:22 p.m. on June 5 in the 1000 block of N. 3rd Street on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This arrest stems from original charges of criminal damage to property and criminal trespass. Carson was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Corey Mathew Kaszanics, 30, of Wamego, was arrested at approximately 1:55 p.m. on June 5 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This arrest stems from an original charge of aggravated intimidation of a witness. Kaszanics was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Andrew Coleman Jones, 47, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 1:50 p.m. on June 5 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This arrest stems from original charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Jones was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
