The Riley County Police Department is investigating two separate vehicle thefts reported Sunday in Manhattan.

Officers first filed a report of motor vehicle theft at approximately 7:26 a.m. June 7 in the 4400 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard. A 37-year-old woman reported that her 2012 Toyota Camry had been stolen from her driveway by an unknown suspect. The total estimated loss associated with the case is $4,500. Police said the vehicle was later recovered.

In a second case, officers filed a report of motor vehicle theft at approximately 12:43 p.m. in the 1100 block of Bluemont Avenue. A 23-year-old man reported that an unknown suspect stole his 2017 Hyundai Elantra. The total estimated loss associated with that case is $15,000. The vehicle was also later recovered.

Anyone with information related to either investigation is asked to contact RCPD or Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Tips can be submitted anonymously and may qualify for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
