Residents in the Manhattan Housing Authority’s Apartment Towers building had a brief reprieve from its elevator woes Tuesday when technicians got one of the building’s two elevators working for the first time in over two weeks.
MHA executive director Aaron Estabrook told The Mercury the building’s large elevator was back in working order just after 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. Any relief for residents of the 12-floor building was short lived, however, when the elevator went out of service again at 8:15 p.m. Estabrook said an emergency work order was placed for the unit.
