A Junction City man is facing multiple charges after his latest arrest, according to Geary County jail records.
Robert Lee Calvert, 39, of Junction City, was booked into the Geary County Detention Center at 1:26 a.m. July 22 following his arrest by the Junction City Police Department. He was released on a $10,000 bond on July 23.
According to jail records, Calvert’s latest case includes allegations of violating a protection order, possession of marijuana, possession of an unknown controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use it, and introducing contraband into a correctional or care facility. He also faces separate traffic-related allegations of fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement by driving into an opposing lane or intersection, falsely reporting a crime to law enforcement, operating a vehicle without registration or with an expired tag, failing to provide proof of insurance and speeding. Court records show he is scheduled to appear in Geary County District Court on Aug. 7.
The arrest follows other recent felony cases involving Calvert. Jail records show he was arrested in February on allegations including burglary of a vehicle, domestic battery, theft, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer with a motor vehicle, aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon, fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, interference with law enforcement and two counts of failure to appear. He was released on bond in that case in March.
