A Manhattan woman was arrested Saturday in connection with an attempted first-degree murder investigation involving a juvenile victim, according to the Riley County Police Department.
Officers filed a report of attempted first-degree murder at approximately 3:47 p.m. July 11 in Manhattan.
A 13-year-old boy was listed as the victim. Police identified a known 44-year-old woman as the suspect.
Amanda Lynn Etter, 44, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 8:36 p.m. in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a charge of attempted first-degree murder.
Etter was issued a $1 million bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
The investigation is ongoing. Police said no additional information will be released at this time.
