Officers filed a report for aggravated battery at approximately 1:25 a.m. on Aug. 20, 2026 in the 700 block of Moro Street. A 39-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported two individuals battered him in Aggieville. Suspects include a known 39-year-old man and an unidentified male.
Officers filed a report for distribution of marijuana, distribution or possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia for illegal use, and possession of marijuana at approximately 8:58 p.m. on Aug. 19 near Anderson Avenue and Scenic Crossing. Malaki Malik Garrett, 17, of Junction City, was arrested at approximately 9:35 p.m. for distribution of marijuana, distribution or possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia for illegal use, and possession of marijuana. Garrett was issued no bond and is not confined in the Riley County Jail.
Officers filed a report for criminal deprivation of property at approximately 9:06 p.m. on Aug. 19 in Manhattan. A 60-year-old man was listed as the victim. A 42-year-old woman, known to the victim, was listed as the suspect, when it was reported she stole a Google Pixel 10 phone. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $1,100.
Brian Lee Havens, 47, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 6:42 p.m. on Aug. 19 on four Riley County District Court warrants for probation violation in the 3500 block of Hudson Circle. This arrest stems from original charges that include three counts of possession of methamphetamine, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count each for interference with a law enforcement officer and trafficking contraband into a correctional facility. Havens was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report for rape at approximately 4:18 p.m. on Aug. 19 in Manhattan. A 19-year-old woman was listed as the victim. A 21-year-old man, known to the victim, was listed as the suspect. Due to the nature of this crime, no further information will be released.
Officers filed a report for possession of an opiate/opium/narcotic or certain stimulant and the use/possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia into the human body at approximately 1:23 p.m. on Aug. 19 in the 200 block of Leavenworth Street. Tonia Michelle Kelly, 51, of Home (Kan.), was arrested at approximately 2:13 p.m. for possession of an opiate/opium/narcotic or certain stimulant and the use/possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia into the human body. Kelly was issued a total bond of $6,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
