Gavin Michael Robert Adam, 26, of Lenoir City (Tenn.), was arrested at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 21, 2026 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. This arrest stems from original charges of aggravated domestic battery and criminal damage to property. Adam was issued a total bond of $14,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for four counts of battery on a law enforcement officer, one count of interference with a law enforcement officer and one count for criminal damage to property at approximately 6:09 p.m. on Aug. 20 in the 400 block of S. 4th Street. Victims listed included a 26-year-old woman, a 40-year-old man, a 46-year-old man, a 32-year-old man and the Manhattan Emergency Shelter. A 35-year-old man was listed as the suspect. Nicolus Allen Weiss, 35, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 6:36 p.m. on four counts of battery on a law enforcement officer, one count of interference with a law enforcement officer and one count for criminal damage to property.  Officers later filed a report for additional charges for battery on a law enforcement officer and battery on a law enforcement officer; physical contact with a corrections/court services officer at approximately 7 p.m. Victims listed included a 26-year-old woman and a 29-year-old woman. Weis was arrested for battery on a law enforcement officer and battery on a law enforcement officer; physical contact with a corrections/court services officer. Weis was issued a total bond of $16,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for aggravated battery and failure to stop at an accident at approximately 9:21 a.m. on Aug. 20 near Tuttle Creek Blvd. and N. Seth Child Road. A 56-year-old man was listed as the victim. A 42-year-old woman, unknown to the victim, was listed as the suspect when it was reported she struck a road worker. Lacey Nicole Stevens, 42, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 11:38 a.m. in the 4300 block of N. Seth Child Road for aggravated battery and failure to stop at an accident. Stevens was issued a total bond of $10,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

Officers responded to a report of an injury accident at approximately 12:14 p.m. on Aug. 20 near mile marker 186 of Tuttle Creek Blvd. Upon arrival, officers found a 2015 Yamaha motorcycle, ridden by Michael Hathaway, 77, of Manhattan, was laid down and struck the back of a 2019 Dodge Ram truck, driven by Jeannie Jorgensen, 54, of Lincoln (Kan.). Hathaway was transported to Via Christi Hospital for injuries.

Officers responded to a report of an injury accident at approximately 9:23 a.m. on Aug. 20 in the 4200 block of Kimball Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a 2017 Toyota Camery, driven by Gerald Hughes, 87, of Manhattan, had struck a 2025 International box truck, driven by Marcello Martinez, 24, of Independence, Mo. Hughes was transported to Via Christi Hospital for injuries. Huges was issued a citation for improper driving on a roadway.
