A Manhattan man convicted of several drug charges and endangering a child was sentenced Monday to serve five years and five months in the Kansas Department of Corrections for his crimes.
Cody Taylor Dodge, 37, pleaded guilty to reduced charges in Riley County District Court. Judge Kendra Lewison sentenced him on Monday to serve 59 months in prison for distributing between 1 and 3.5 grams of methamphetamine, 11 months for possession of methamphetamine and six months each for two counts of aggravated child endangerment by exposing two children to to an environment where drugs were being distributed.
Lewison ordered the first three sentences be served concurrently but that the last term for six months run consecutively. The order creates a controlling sentence of five years and five months with the KDOC. The term is to be served after any incomplete sentences Dodge has in Geary County are fulfilled.
Dodge was granted jail credit for the time he’s been in custody in this case, amounting to 509 days or just over one year and four months.
