Officers filed a report for two counts of criminal trespass, one count of theft of property or services, and one count of battery at approximately 12:54 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2026 in the 300 block of Riley Avenue in Ogden. A 52-year-old woman and Casey’s General Store were listed as victims. A 29-year-old man was listed as the suspect. Jacob Lash Shepard, 29, of Ogden, was arrested at approximately 1:56 p.m. in the 400 block of Fifteenth Street in Ogden for two counts of criminal trespass, one count of theft of property or services and one count of battery. Shepard was issued a total bond of $5,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report for fraud at approximately 12:38 p.m. on Aug. 31 in the 2000 block of Plymouth Road. A 64-year-old man and Flint Hills Dialysis were listed as victims when it was reported an unknown suspect claiming to be from a bank asked for money through text message to clear up fraudulent payments. The total estimated loss associated with this case is approximately $82,634.86.
