Officers filed a report of motor vehicle theft at approximately 9:38 p.m. on Sept. 13 in the 300 block of S. Seth Child Rd, Manhattan, KS. A 18-year-old victim was listed as the victim when it was reported and unknown suspect stole her 2010 Chrysler 200. The vehicle was later located and recovered. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $6,000.

Officers filed a report of theft at approximately 3:20 p.m. on Sept. 13 in the 600 block of Hanly St. A 99-year-old woman is listed as the victim when she reported an unknown suspect has fraudulently issued checks in her name. The total estimated loss in this case is $5,807.76.

Officers filed a report for aggravated battery at approximately 12:23 a.m. on Sept. 13 in the 1200 block of Fremont St. A 31-year-old man was listed as the victim after he was hit by an unknown 24-year-old man. Kalim Desroches, 31, of Canada, was arrested at approximately 11:00 a.m. Shelton was issued a total bond of $30,000.00 and is no longer confined at the Riley County Jail.

Officers filed a report of aggravated assault, domestic battery, and criminal threat at approximately 8:12 p.m. on Sept. 12 in Manhattan. A 53-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported that a known 19-year-old was listed as the suspect. Elizabeth Milam, 19, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 10:03 p.m. for aggravated assault, domestic battery, and criminal threat. Milam was issued a total bond of $12,000 and remains confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of motor vehicle theft at approximately 7:16 p.m. on Sept. 12 in the 1300 block of Marlatt Ave. A 19-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole her grey 2014 Kia Optima. The estimated total loss associated with this case is $14,000.

Officers filed a report for theft and criminal use of a financial card at approximately 2:47 p.m. on Sept. 12 in Manhattan. A 50-year-old woman is listed as the victim after it was reported an unknown suspect used personal accounts to make purchases. The estimated total loss for this case is $1,110.49.

Officers filed a report of motor vehicle theft at approximately 10:09 a.m. on Sept. 12 in the 1800 block of Todd Rd. A 19-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole his 2015 Kia Soul. The estimated total loss associated with this case is $7,000.

Officers filed a report of rape at approximately 5:55 p.m. on Sept. 11 in Manhattan. A 55-year-old woman was listed as the victim and a 46-year-old man known to her was listed as the suspect. Due to the nature of the crime reported, no additional information will be released.

Kevin Harbaugh, 44, of Manhattan, was arrested for violation of a protection order and attempted interference with the judicial process at approximately 11:10 a.m. on Sept. 11 at the Riley County Police Department. Harbaugh was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined at the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
