A 68-year-old Manhattan woman was seriously injured Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle near Anderson Avenue and Seth Child Road.
Riley County Police said officers responded at about 7:43 a.m. and found a 2010 Honda Element driven by Spencer Lawson, 42, of Manhattan, had struck Cheryl Caldwall, while she was using a crosswalk within the on-ramp.
Caldwall was transported to KU Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment of serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
